Descended from a long line of grape growers, the Lucas brothers came to Santa Barbara County and planted their first vineyard in the Santa Maria valley in 1970. Building a reputation as a grower of the finest quality wine grapes, Louis Lucas has provided his grapes to many of California's finest wineries. In 1996, Judge Royce Lewellen joined forces to form Lucas & Lewellen vineyards, a venture that continues to acquire premium vineyards and grow and sell grapes of the highest quality.

Chocolate lovers received the first taste of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory on a beautiful, crisp morning in 1981.
